I have experienced a lot of ups and downs while navigating the sea of information out there. Some of it is good. Most of it is bad. I started making content when I recognized a clear path to better form that would be accessible to everyone if you just knew which advice to follow and which to ignore. The goal of my videos has always been to cut through all the nonsense and bring together only the best information after pressure-testing it myself. This journey has uniquely equipped me to break the spell for those who still feel lost. Let me help you and together we can demystify the mechanics of backhand form.

Over the past two years, I’ve played more than 1,200 rounds of disc golf and covered over 4,000 miles on the course — placing me in the top 0.01% of all UDisc users worldwide. While logging those miles, I dedicated equal time to a deep, methodical study of backhand mechanics. Frustrated by the lack of local mentors who could truly break down the throw, I spent hundreds of hours analyzing YouTube instruction, separating proven principles from widespread disc golf dogma. At 43 years old, that focused work took me from a 275-foot throw to consistently hitting 475+ feet on the course. The added power hasn’t just increased distance — it’s unlocked a much wider range of disc selections and shot shapes, dramatically improving my game. I stand on the shoulders of the giants whose clear, high-quality instruction finally showed me the way. Now I want to share that view with you. Whether you’re looking to add serious distance or simply want a more consistent, powerful backhand, I can help you throw farther and play better.

I firmly believe anyone has potential to throw far, it’s just that everyone’s journey to get there is different. I tailor my coaching to each player’s goals and focus on correcting the most impactful issues holding them back. My approach often includes over-exaggerated drills to break old habits and build efficient movement patterns. Changing form is often a frustrating process, so I make it a point to highlight what students are doing right, even when it feels like everything is going wrong. Encouragement, clarity, and a step-by-step approach are key to lasting improvement. Some things about me: I'm the 2026 Am Worlds Long Drive Champion! I've thrown over 600 feet multiple times, with a record of 647. 3+ years coaching disc golf adding thousands of feet to clients' distance drives. Started coaching while pursuing my PhD and my approach to coaching is that of research proven teaching strategies. My passion is for in-person lessons but also offer effective online coaching utilizing the things i've learned from in-person sessions.

I'm the Head Coach at Another Round Salt Lake and an Assistant Pro with Overthrow Disc Golf, where I've completed hundreds of in-person lessons and video form reviews. I work with players of all skill levels, from beginners picking up their first disc to touring professionals and adaptive athletes, helping each athlete build a game that's both effective and repeatable. My coaching philosophy is simple: understand why a player moves the way they do before deciding what to change. Every athlete is different, so I tailor my feedback to the individual rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is to provide clear, actionable instruction that players can immediately take to the course. Whether you're looking to throw farther, improve consistency, or break through a plateau, I'd love to help you reach your disc golf goals.
