Subscriptions & Coaches

This guide covers everything you need to know about coach public pages, understanding subscription tiers, and managing your coaching subscriptions.

Public Coach Pages

Your coach will share their FormLab link with you. Every coach has a public page:

  • Public URLs are formatted as formlabapp.com/coach/[coach-name]
  • These pages show the coach's full profile, bio, specialties, and location
  • You can view all available subscription tiers with pricing and limits
  • Subscribe directly from a coach's public page without logging in first (you'll be prompted to create an account during checkout)
  • Share public pages with friends or on social media

Your coach will typically share their page link directly with you, or you can find it on their social media or website.

Understanding Subscription Tiers

Each coach creates their own subscription tiers with different levels of service and pricing. Here's what to look for:

Monthly Price

The recurring subscription cost, billed monthly. Some coaches offer free tiers to let you try their coaching style before upgrading.

Video Review Limit

How many video reviews you can submit per billing period. For example, a tier might allow 4 video reviews per month. This limit resets at the start of each billing cycle.

Session Limit (Optional)

Some tiers include coaching sessions. If your coach offers sessions, the tier will show how many are included per month.

Additional Features

Higher tiers may include extras like priority review times, more detailed feedback, or direct messaging access.

Choosing a tier: Start with a tier that matches your commitment level. If you're filming yourself 2-3 times per week, a tier with 4 reviews/month might be perfect. If you're just getting started, try a free tier or lower-priced option first.

Subscribing to a Coach

Once you've found a coach and tier that fits your needs:

  1. Click the Subscribe button on the tier you want
  2. If it's a paid tier, you'll be redirected to Stripe Checkout (secure payment processing)
  3. Enter your payment information and complete checkout
  4. Your subscription starts immediately after payment is processed
  5. You can upload videos right away - no waiting period

For free tiers, you'll be subscribed immediately without payment information. You can upgrade to a paid tier at any time from your Subscriptions page.

Secure payments: All payments are processed by Stripe, the industry standard for online payments. FormLab never stores your credit card information.

Managing Your Subscriptions

View and manage all your coaching subscriptions from the Subscriptions page:

  • Current Subscriptions: See all coaches you're subscribed to
  • Usage Tracking: View how many video reviews you've used this billing period (e.g., "2 of 4 videos used")
  • Upload Videos: Quick access to upload a new video for review
  • View Videos: See all videos you've submitted to each coach and their status
  • Billing Management: Access Stripe Customer Portal to update payment method, view invoices, or cancel subscription

The Subscriptions page is your hub for all coaching relationships on FormLab.

Updating Payment Method

To update your credit card or billing information:

  1. Go to your Subscriptions page
  2. Find the subscription you want to update
  3. Click Manage Billing or Customer Portal
  4. You'll be redirected to Stripe's secure customer portal
  5. Update your payment method, view past invoices, or download receipts

Canceling a Subscription

You can cancel a subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal:

  1. Go to your Subscriptions page
  2. Find the subscription you want to cancel
  3. Click Manage Billing
  4. In the Stripe Customer Portal, select Cancel Subscription
  5. Confirm the cancellation

When you cancel a subscription:

  • Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
  • You can still upload videos and use your remaining review quota
  • You won't be charged again after the current period ends
  • You can resubscribe at any time by visiting the coach's profile

No penalties: There are no cancellation fees or penalties. You've paid for the current billing period, so you keep access until it ends.

Common Questions

Can I subscribe to multiple coaches? Yes! Subscribe to as many coaches as you want. You'll manage each subscription separately.

When do review limits reset? Limits reset on your billing anniversary. If you subscribed on Feb 10, your limits reset on the 10th of each month.

What if I don't use all my reviews? Unused reviews don't roll over to the next month. Use them or lose them!

Can I upgrade my tier? Yes, contact your coach to switch tiers. Most coaches can help you upgrade or downgrade as needed.
